THE KING OF CAKES
The decorated sugar tinted with the three colors of Mardi Gras: Gold for Power, Green for Faith, and Purple for Justice, is flying around Bayou Bakery's kitchen as the King Cake season kicks off on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 and lasts until Tuesday, February 17, 2026. The secret ingredient to the traditional, Bayou Bakery King Cake, is that its handcrafted daily, utilizing European techniques, without preservatives, for a fresh and tasteful Danish-style Cake. It is filled with a signature Creole Cream Cheese, dusted with Cinnamon and Sugar, and covered in an irresistibly delicious, fluffy White Icing with hints of Vanilla and Lemon. It is finished with a sprinkling of sugars in the trio of traditional Mardi Gras colors - Purple, Green & Gold. As a bonus, a Tiny Plastic Baby, Mardi Gras Beads, and a colorful Card providing the history of the King Cake tradition are included in the custom, decorative Bayou Bakery King Cake box.
